Weight Loss Diets
There are many different reasons for people wanting to lose weight.Some people need to lose weight for medical reasons and so will need a diet tailored to suit that condition whether it be diabetes or
or high cholesterol or high blood pressure Other people just want to get back into shape and get more healthy so they also need a different type of diet and fitness program tailored to suit this purpose. Weight loss is often quite difficult to achieve because of lifestyle and other factors involved so people often fail to achieve their desired results and give up. To achieve the desired result also needs some changes in your lifestyle small changes are often easier to achieve than going on a full scale diet and exercise program. If you need to go on a weight loss diet for diabetes for instance, start off by trying some low sugar foods and low carbohydrate alternatives. If you decide to try a particular type of diet program then don't be afraid to tailor it to suit your own needs and tastes .No one can possibly stick to a particular type of diet if they don't enjoy what they are eating or cant stand the taste of certain foods.There are many types and brands of food products available that are low carb and low in sugars that taste just as good as high sugar high fat versions that are pushed in our faces all the time. Write down a list of your favorite foods and look for alternatives that are healthier. Find recipes to try out that use healthier ingredients but still satisfy your tastes. Eat natural whole foods where possible. Try to find natural unprocessed foods that you enjoy like fruit and vegetables instead of having a cake or biscuit as a snack, try a banana or some other fruit you enjoy. Make a healthy dip using low fat cream cheese or mashed avocado then add some paprika or other spices you enjoy the taste of to pep it up a bit and then replace the corn chip or cracker biscuit with a stick of celery or a slice of apple. Instead of putting sugar or honey in your oats or porridge or morning cereal add a small handful of sultana's or slice up a ripe banana instead. Buy lean cuts of meat and instead of cooking them in oil or fat put them in a non stick baking dish add some chopped whole tomatoes and some mushrooms,chop up an onion and some fresh herbs add some pepper and a little salt to suit your tastes then cover it with aluminum foil or put on a lid and let it cook slowly in the oven.The tomatoes and onions and herbs will turn into a nice healthy gravy and the meat will cook tender with out the need for any oils or fats. Reduce fatty foods while still retain the flavors you like. Make good use of slow cookers if you don't have a lot of time for cooking after work etc and usually just have a quick fry up . With a slow cooker you can quickly set it up before work and come home to a great tasting healthy meal. Cut up ingredients like whole potatoes, onions, tomatoes,carrots,pumpkin and any other vegies you like in your spare time and put them in a container of water in the fridge. Before you go to bed at night or before you go to work in the morning put the prepared veggies in the slow cooker and cover with water .In the morning just add some lean meat or chicken pieces top up with water add some herbs or spices and turn it on low as you head out the door and when you get home you will have a delicious healthy meal just waiting for you. If you don't have time for preparation then just buy whole frozen vegetables and keep them in your freezer as they are nearly as nutritious as fresh veggies and you can just use the amount you need with no waste.You can even just put in all the frozen ingredients in the hot pot in then morning add a tin of unsweetened whole tomatoes to help it defrost and it will still be cooked when you get home. There are many different ways that you can attain a healthier lower sugar, lower fat,lower carbohydrate diet with out eating bland tasting foods just use your imagination and become creative.
