Most days on the job when we are not traveling we usually don't have time to stop for breakfast or lunch which is not real healthy so I try to have a supply of dried fruit and mixed nuts and sometimes fresh fruit to munch on when I can between shoveling and changing drill rods.
We often stay at caravan parks in self contained units and cook for ourselves.We only eat healthy food such as meat and fresh cooked vegetables as there are usually no takeaway stores open when we get back to camp (which is a good thing for me) although we often have to rely on frozen vegetables. I also try to have a supply of boiled eggs in our mobile fridge as these are also a good quick healthy snack.
Staying on a healthy diet and eating regularly can some times be a challenge in life and for some people eating on the run so as to speak often leads them to eating unhealthy takeaway foods or snack foods like sweet biscuits packet chips and such.If you have a hectic lifestyle try to take some time to plan what you can take to snack on that is also healthy to eat. A lot of supermarkets and small shops and garages now supply things like dried fruits, vegetable chips organic nuts and other healthy snacks such as fresh sandwiches and fresh salads etc.try to still eat balanced meals even if they are on the run . I often just have a muesli bar for some carbs and then later on a boiled egg for some protein and often have some died or fresh fruit for vitamins etc.
