Aerobic Exercise For a Healthy Lifestyle
Aerobic specifically means "relating to, involving, or requiring free oxygen and relates to the muscles consumption of oxygen to ensure energy demands are met during exercise via aerobic metabolism.
Cardio Aerobic exercise is generally a low intensity type of physical exertion, which mainly utilizes the aerobic form of muscular energy. Usually, light-to-moderate intensity exercises that can be mostly fuelled by aerobic metabolism can be carried out for long periods. The difference between Aerobic and Anaerobic exercise
Aerobic exercise and fitness programs are more about endurance type sports or extended activities where the muscles involved are operated at low to medium stress levels and the activity is extended over a relatively long period of time.
Some examples of cardiovascular/aerobic exercise include jogging, swimming, marathon running, bike riding, dancing and walking. Anaerobic exercise can include things like body building ,weight lifting ,boxing, short-distance sprinting and other high intensity short duration exercises which work the muscles at high stress levels for short durations. These two types of exercise differ by the duration and intensity of muscular the contractions involved, as well as the way energy is generated within the muscle groups themselves. |
